The Mihaly armchair draws inspiration from the concept of flow, developed by psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, which represents a state of complete integration between action, perception, and movement. This idea is translated into a structure formed by successive strips of marine plywood, creating a continuous surface with no visual separation between the base, seat, and backrest. The piece is perceived as a single gesture in which form, ergonomics, and structure come together naturally. Its continuous design also allows for a gentle rocking motion, following the rhythm of the body and enhancing the sense of comfort. The exposed layers of plywood reveal its construction logic and evoke naval and aeronautical engineering, where strength and lightness emerge from geometric precision. Mihaly brings together structure, movement, and comfort in an armchair with a fluid, intuitive, and balanced presence.
